Solar Radiation Test Facility

As a key requirement for outdoor commercial and military environmental conditions, the solar radiation test facility can be utilized for exposure to products up to an irradiance level of 1000 W/m2 and maximum temperature level of 55 °C with maximum test area being 2.5m (L) X 1.5m (W) X 2.0(H). The steady state solar radiation test facility supports a diverse set of residential, outdoor, commercial, military, and industry products such as energy meter, transformers, circuit breakers, auto reclosures, surge arrestors, insulators, polymers, ground station receivers, solar photovoltaic (PV) modules, solar inverters, agricultural pump controllers, EV chargers, cables, etc. and any product having continuous exposure to solar radiation. The laboratory is accredited as per ISO/IEC 17025.
