Energy Meter Testing Laboratory (bhopal)

Energy Meter test laboratory of CPRI, Bhopal has state of the art high precision test facilities for carrying out type tests as per National and International Standards.

Laboratory Features:

• All Type tests facilities on Single phase, Three Phase Energy Meters, Transformer operated meters, Prepayment meters and Smart Meters
• Data Exchange protocol, Smart meter communicability as per IS 15959 (Part 1,2 and Part 3)
• High precision state of the art test equipments.
• NABL Accredited and BIS approved laboratory.

The laboratory is equipped with:

• Twelve positions, fully automatic test bench with high precision reference standard of 0.01 class of accuracy, Model – COM 303, Make –Zera, Germany.
• Six positions, fully automatic test bench with high precision reference standard of 0.02 class of accuracy, Model – EPZ 303, Make –Zera, Germany.
• Five positions, fully automatic test bench with high precision reference standard of 0.02 class of accuracy, Model – EPZ 303, Make –Zera, Germany.
• Single position, fully automatic test bench with high precision reference standard of 0.02 class of accuracy, Model – TPZ 303, Make –Zera, Germany.
• Mechanical Test facility comprising of Vibration Test and Shock Test, Make- Sarswati Dynamics and,
• Environmental Test Facility.
• Electromagnetic Compatibility Test system for Energy meters

The following tests can be carried out.

• Tests of Insulation Properties as per National and International Standards.
• Tests of Accuracy Requirements as per National and International Standards.
• Tests of Electrical requirement as per National and International Standards.
• Tests of Electromagnetic Compliance as per National standards and partially as per International standards.
