CYBER SECURITY TESTING:

RTU / FRTU testing for IEC 60870-5-101 / 104

CPRI has established this unique Cyber Security testing laboratory for carrying out conformance testing of RTUs for IEC 60870-5-101 and IEC 60870-5-104 protocols.  The tests are performed as per the companion standards IEC 60870-5-601  and IEC 60870-5-604.  RTUs/ FRTUs can be tested either as slave or as master device with the protocol conformance, the division has also set up testing for Security extensions to IEC 60870-5-101 and IEC 60870-5-104 protocols as per IEC 60870-5-7 and IEC 62351-3 & IEC 62351-5.  The testing is carried out as per the conformance test cases IEC 62351-100-3 & IEC 62351-100-1 respectively. 

This is the only third party laboratory in the country that is catering to these testing requirements and this testing is mandatory for RTU/ FRTU suppliers as per Ministry of Power order dated 08 Jun 2021 and 24 Dec 2021.
