The laboratory offers expertise services in the area of Condition Assessment (CA), Remaining life assessment (RLA), Non-destructive testing (NDT), Failure & Root cause analysis (FRCA) and Renovation &Modernization (R & M) for Thermal& Hydropower Plants components like Boilers, Turbines, High Energy Piping (HEP) systems, Hydro turbine generator shaft and Penstocks.

Laboratory equipped:

Non-Destructive testing: Visual inspection (VI), Fibro scope test (FST), Dye penetrant test (DPT), Magnetic particle inspection(MPI), Ultrasonic test (UT), Eddy current test (ECT)-LFET, RFET, Thermography test (TGT).
